About the festival

November 2013 will see the ninth Polish Festival @ Federation Square.

From its inception, the Festival's aim has been simply to bring a taste of Poland to Melbourne.

The Festival is run by a not for profit organisation Polish Festival Inc.

The Festival Committee comprises 12 individuals who bring their various skills to the table and work on a purely voluntary basis. Supporting the Committees effort are over 400 people who take part in the Festival on the day also giving their time for free.

The Festival is run as a not for profit event all money raised/earned goes directly into the running the Festival.

Our mission is "to stage a multidisciplinary festival showcasing Polish culture to the greater Melbourne, regional Victoria and Australian population". We aim to position the Polish Festival @ Federation Square as Melbourne's premier ethnic festival, sharing cultural and artistic excellence, bring economic benefits to event participants and Melbourne CBD, unite, engage and excite the community.
