Grażyna Krajewska – przeboje polskiej muzyki rozrywkowej

Grażyna Krajewska is a singer and entertainer, who graduated in Vocal Performance from the College of Music in Poznan. In addition to performing, Grażyna became a music teacher. Grażyna arrived in Melbourne in 1981, becoming a popular artist across the Polish community in Melbourne.

She has fond memories of sharing the stage in Poland with start, Hanka Bielecka and Mieczysław Fogg. She has shared the Melbourne stage with eminent musicians Roman Syrek and Tomasz Śpiewak. Grażyna has performed at many Polish community events, festivals and concerts, including the Festival of Polish Song (1981), Letter to the Pope (1986), 50th Anniversary Concert of the Polish Community in Victoria (1999), Polskie Kwiaty (2002-2014) and the Polish Festival @ Federation Square (2005-2010).

Tomasz Śpiewak -piano 

Tomasz Śpiewak is an accomplished musician, composer, music arranger and lecturer. Born in Krakow in 1936, he studied Music at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and Music Education at the University of Melbourne. Tomasz has worked in many and varied occupations in the music industry. He was a member of the Band of the Warsaw District of the Polish Army in Krakow; he co-founded the ensemble Czerwono-Czarni in Gdynia; was the Musical Director of the Wagabunda Theatre in Warsaw and Szczecin; and also a musician in the Polish Radio and Television Orchestra in Warsaw. He arrived in Australia in 1974, later becoming a lecturer in Music at the Box Hill Collage of TAFE. He authored several academic texts, which are still used by students today. Tomasz Śpiewak has trained the conductors of Army Bands in several countries, and is the recipient of countless awards and prizes. His compositions have been recognised in numerous international competitions. Always giving to the community, Tomasz has been the Musical Director of the Annual “Polskie Kwiaty” concert organised by the Society of Polish Culture in Victoria, and of countless Polish community concerts and events, amongst them the visit of Pope John Paul II to the Australian Polish Community in Melbourne in 1986.
