Kamil Rawdanowicz
Kamil is 14 years old, and music is an important part of his life. From a very young age his mum taught him to play the piano. For a short time he also played the guitar, but decided to try other instruments. At the age of 7 he started to play the clarinet at private lessons at his school, which continue to this day with the same amazing teacher. A year later he started to learn the viola.
At the age of 11 he decided to play the saxophone, so he taught himself, and a short time later was playing in his school jazz bands, first in “All Stars Big Band”, and later in “Legends Big Band”, where he still plays. Numerous times he performed as a soloist at concerts. For his 12th birthday, he received a piano accordion from his grandparents and straight away taught himself to play it. For the last few years Kamil also had voice lessons and sings in the school choir, although he has been a singer from birth.
Up till now, Kamil is part of all possible orchestras, bands and choirs in his school. He also formed and led his own band “Banana Brothers” for several years, and composed their music. In the family ensemble, apart from being a key musician, Kamil has an extra important role of arranging the music for the many various instruments.
Some of his most memorable performances are: solo performance at Melbourne Recital Center, as part of receiving the school music scholarship; school band performance at the “Generations in Jazz” festival at Mount Gambier; Pol Art Brisbane.
Currently, Kamil is preparing a music program for his next exams on his main instruments, therefore grade 7 for the clarinet and grade 6 for the viola.
In his spare time Kamil is passionate about all forms of dance, he dances a lot and very well. He also likes all sport, especially swimming, in which he is also outstanding. His newest passion is electronics and the production of music and animation films, especially LEGO.
Kamil ma 14 lat, a muzyka jest bardzo ważną częścią jego życia. Już od bardzo młodego wieku jego mama uczyła go gry na pianinie. Przez krótki czas grał też na gitarze, lecz zdecydował się próbować inne instrumenty. W wieku 7 lat rozpoczął naukę gry na klarnecie w swojej szkole na lekcjach prywatnych, które trwają aż do dnia dzisiejszego u tej samej wspaniałej nauczycielki. Rok póżniej rozpoczął naukę na altówce.
W wieku 11 lat zdecydował się grać na saksofonie, więc sam się nauczył tej sztuki i w krótkim czasie grał już w szkolnych orkiestrach jazzowych, najpierw w “All Stars Big Band”, a potem w “Legends Big Band”, gdzie gra do tej pory. Wiele razy grał partie solowe na koncertach. Z okazji 12 urodzin dostał od dziadków akordeon i od razu sam nauczył się na nim grać. Do niedawna też Kamil pobierał prywatne lekcje śpiewu w swojej szkole, choć był śpiewakiem od urodzenia.
Do tej pory Kamil gra we wszystkich możliwych orkiestrach, zespołach i chórach w szkole. Prowadził też swój szkolny zespół “Banana Brothers” przez parę lat, i komponował im swoje utwory. W rodzinnym zespole, oprócz roli kluczowego muzyka, Kamil pełni ważną funkcję aranżowania muzyki dla tylu różnorodnych instrumentów.
Niektóre z jego najbardziej pamiętnych występów to: solowy występ w Melbourne Recital Centre, z okazji dostania szkolnego stypendium muzycznego; szkolny występ na festiwalu “Generations in Jazz” w Mount Gambier; PolArt Brisbane.
Obecnie Kamil przygotowuje program na kolejne egzaminy ze swoich głównych instrumentów, a więc na klarnecie klasy 7, a na altówce klasy 6.
W swoim wolnym czasie Kamil pasjonuje się wszelkim możliwym tańcem, tańczy bardzo dużo i bardzo dobrze. Lubi też wszelki sport, szczególnie pływanie, w którym również się wyróżnia. Jego najnowsza pasją jest elektronika oraz produkowanie muzyki i filmów animowanych, szczególnie z Lego.
