Melbourne Polish Children’s and Youth Choir

The choir, founded in August 2019, were fortunate enough to perform for the very first time at last year’s Polish Festival at Federation Square. Their repertoire includes well known children songs from a variety of Polish musicians and traditional folkloric songs which represent their Polish culture. Through music and song, the children have opportunities to learn their Polish language and discover the beauty of traditional Polish music.

“Dłonie” (Hands), is a song from Polish songwriter and musician Majka Jezowska. The themes within the song explain the meaning and importance of our hands. The song describes how our hands reveal our true stories and highlights the important role they play in times of hardship.

 

 

“Kolorowe dzieci” (Colourful Children), is another beautiful song from Majka Jeziwska that reminds us that children of all races and cultures deserve the same treatment, no matter the colour of their skin, country or race. In this world, all parents wish for their children to be happy and this lovely song reminds us of that.

 

 

Polski Chórek Dzieci i Młodzieży w Melbourne

Założony w sierpniu 2019 roku chórek mial swój debiut na ubiegłorocznym Festiwalu Polskim na Federation Square. Głównym celem chórku jest oferowanie dzieciom i młodzieży polskiej w Melbourne możliwości poznawania i uczenia się języka polskiego przez śpiew. Ich repertuar składa się ze znanych polskich piosenek dla dzieci jak również wybranych pieśni ludowych.

„Dłonie” to cover bardzo znanej piosenki Majki Jeżowskiej mówiącej o ważnej funkcji naszych rąk, a w szczególności o tym, że są one potrzebne aby nieść prawdę i pomagać innym w biedzie.

„Kolorowe dzieci” to kolejna piękna piosenka Majki Jeżowskiej, która przypomina nam, że dzieci wszystkich ras i kultur zasługują na takie samo traktowanie, niezależnie od koloru skóry, kraju czy rasy. Na tym świecie wszyscy rodzice pragną, aby ich dzieci były szczęśliwe, a ta piękna piosenka przypomina nam o tym.
