Małgorzata Ostrowska
Małgorzata Ostrowska to jedna z najbardziej oryginalnych i wszechstronnych postaci polskiej sceny muzycznej.
Swoją karierę rozpoczynała na początku lat 80. jako wokalistka grupy Lombard z którą nagrała takie przeboje jak: “Szklana pogoda”, „Droga pani z TV”, „Gołębi puch” czy „Taniec pingwina na szkle”. Od 1999 roku występuje już solo.
Nigdy nie bała się eksperymentów, dlatego z chęcią przyjmowała oryginalne zaproszenia. W 2008 roku pojawiła się gościnnie na płycie KSU, a wcześniej nagrywała z takim wykonawcami jak: Lech Janerka, Dżem, Michał Urbaniak i Acid Drinkers. Z Lombardem zaprezentowała się m.in. na festiwalu w San Remo, z jazzową formacją Basspace nagrała płytę i koncertowała na Jazz Jamboree, w Teatrze Muzycznym w Gdyni kreowała postać Marii Magdaleny w spektaklu „Jesus Christ Superstar, a w filmie „Podróże Pana Kleksa pojawiła się jako królowa Aba śpiewając kultową już dziś „Meluzynę”.
W 1999 roku powróciła na rynek albumem „Alchemia” z którego pochodzą takie przeboje jak „Lawa czy „Tak, jak pierwszy raz”. Przez 20 lat solowej kariery Małgorzata ze swoim zespołem zagrała setki koncertów, w Sopocie otrzymała „Bursztynowego słowika” (1999) za całokształt działalności, a w Opolu (2007), odcisnęła swoje dłonie w słynnej już Alei Gwiazd.
2000 rok przywitała albumem „Przed świtem”, a rok później ukazała się płyta „Instynkt” (2001) – to zestaw największych przebojów artystki, w nowych aranżacjach. Wśród nich znajduje się też kilka premierowych piosenek, m.in. “Nie chcę, nie umiem”, którą Małgorzata wykonała podczas konkursu “Premier” Festiwalu Polskiej Piosenki w Opolu w 2001 roku.
W 2007 roku artysta wydała album „Słowa”, z którego pochodzą takie przeboje jak: „Rzeka we mnie, „Jeśli było”, „Wiara to skrzydła” i „Słowa, jak węże do ucha”. Z tą ostatnią piosenką Małgorzata wystąpiła w finale konkursu Sopot Festival. W tym roku także jako jedyna polska wokalistka, została zaproszona do udziału w spektakularnym koncercie z okazji otwarcia polskiej filii “Hard Rock Cafe” w Warszawie, a w stałej galerii Klubu umieszczone zostało zdjęcie i kurtka Małgorzaty z lat 80’tych.
We wrześniu 2012 roku ukaże się pierwsza solowa koncertowa płyta artystki nagrywana m.in. w studiu im. Agnieszki Osieckiej w radiowej Trójce. Obok największych przebojów z czasów Lombardu i solowych wydawnictw Małgorzaty, znajdą się na niej premierowe utwory. Wśród nich piosenka skomponowana przez Marka Jackowskiego (ex-Maanam), a wyprodukowana przez Leszka Biolika (ex- Republika) – „Po niebieskim niebie”, która w czerwcu trafiła do stacji radiowych jako singiel promujący koncertowe wydawnictwo.
W ubiegłym roku Małgorzata wydała album „Na świecie nie ma pustych miejsc”. To najbardziej intymna i przepełnionej liryzmem płyta artystki, która opowiada o miłości i tęsknocie. Jest kwintesencją kobiecości. Wokalistka niezwykle zaskoczyła fanów tą niezwykła odsłoną.
– Trochę się bałam, przed premierą tego albumu, czy moi fani, którzy przecież pokochali mnie za rockowe brzmienia, zaakceptują taką liryczną płytę. Jednak okazało się, że oni chyba też oczekiwali takiej zmiany. – mówi piosenkarka.
Aktualnie wokalistka promuje album trzecim singlem z tego krążka, zatytułowanym „zadzwoń”. To jeden z tych fragmentów płyty, który najbardziej zaskakuje i zachwyca fanów wokalistki, nie tylko smooth jazzowym klimatem, ale także niezwykle łagodnym brzmieniem artystki, która od lat kojarzy się z mocnym, rockowym wokalem.

Małgorzata Ostrowska is one of the most original and versatile figures on the Polish music scene. She started her career in the early 1980s as a vocalist of the Lombard group with which she recorded such hits as: “Szklana Pogoda” (Glass Weather), “Droga Pani z TV” (Lady from the TV), ” Gołębi puch” (Pigeon Fluff) and ” Taniec pingwina na szkle” (Penguin Dance on Glass). She has been performing solo since 1999.
She was never afraid of experiments, so she gladly accepted original invitations. In 2008, she made a guest appearance on the KSU album, and previously recorded with such performers as: Lech Janerka, Dżem, Michał Urbaniak and Acid Drinkers. With Lombard she performed at the festival in San Remo, with the jazz band Basspace, she recorded an album and gave concerts at the Jazz Jamboree, at the Musical Theater in Gdynia she played the character of Maria Magdalena in the play “Jesus Christ Superstar”, and in the film “Traveling Mr. Kleksa”, she appeared as the queen of Aba, singing the cult hilt “Melusine”.
In 1999, she returned to the market with the album “Alchemia” from which came such hits as “Lawa” and “Yes, like the first time”. For 20 years of her solo career, Małgorzata played hundreds of concerts with her band, in Sopot she received the “Amber Nightingale” (1999) for her entire activity, and in Opole (2007), she left her handprint on the famous Aleja Gwiazd promenade.
She welcomed the year 2000 with the album “Przed świtem”(Before Sunrise), and a year later the album “Instynkt” (Instinct) was released – it is a set of the artist’s greatest hits, in new arrangements. Among them there are also a few premiere songs, incl. “I don’t want, I can’t”, which Małgorzata performed during the “Premier” competition of the Polish Song Festival in Opole in 2001.
In 2007, the artist released the album “Words”, from which there are such hits as: “The River in Me,” If it Was”, “Faith is Wings” and “Words, Like Snakes to the Ear”. Małgorzata performed the last song in the finals of the Sopot Festival competition. In the same year, also as the only Polish singer, she was invited to participate in a spectacular concert on the occasion of the opening of the Polish branch of “Hard Rock Cafe” in Warsaw, and in the permanent gallery of the Club there is a photo and jacket of Małgorzata from the 1980s.
In September 2012, the artist’s first solo album was released, recorded in the studio ‘Agnieszka Osiecka’ at Polish Radio Three. In addition to the greatest hits from the Lombard era and Małgorzata’s solo releases, it included premiere songs. Among them, a song composed by Marek Jackowski (ex-Maanam) and produced by Leszek Biolik (ex-Republika) – “Po niebieskim niebie” (After a Blue Sky), which was released in June by radio stations as a single promoting a concert release.
Last year, Małgorzata released the album “In the World There is No Empty Space”. This is the artist’s most intimate and lyrical album, which tells of love and longing. It is the quintessence of femininity. The singer surprised the fans with this extraordinary version. “I was a bit afraid, before the premiere of this album, whether my fans, who loved me for rock sounds, would accept such a lyrical album. However, it turned out that they probably also expected such a change” says the singer. Currently, the singer is promoting the album with the third single from this album, entitled “Call”. This is one of the fragments of the album that surprises and delights the singer’s fans the most, not only with its smooth jazz atmosphere, but also with the artist’s extremely gentle sound, which has been associated with strong, rock vocals for years.
