Polska Szkoła im. Marii Konopnickiej w Essendon

Polska Szkoła z Essendon co sobotę wita swoich uczniów z całego Melbourne i okolic. Uczą się one mowy, czytania, pisania i śpiewu po polsku, jak również polskiej kultury, historii i geografii. Dzieci uwielbiają występować na scenie i uczą się polskich piosenek bardzo szybko, nawet jak nie mówią płynnie po polsku.

Lekcje śpiewu odbywają się u nas co tydzień. Mamy 2 lekcje języka polskiego, w 2 lub 3 grupach wiekowych.  Jest też opcjonalna lekcja religii. Nasza szkoła była inicjowana przez Siostry Zmartwychwstanki wiele lat temu, i my nadal współpracujemy z nimi, korzystając z ich budynków, na terenie Polskiego Sanktuarium Maryjnego.

Co roku nasze dzieci biorą udział w licznych występach, z okazji Święta Konstytucji 3-go Maja, Dnia Matki, Dnia Ojca, Jasełek, oraz oczywiście na Polskim Festiwalu Federation Square. Nasza szkoła występowała na nim co roku i jesteśmy wszyscy zawiedzeni że program który wam przygotowaliśmy musi być odłożony na rok następny. W międzyczasie mamy nadzieję że mile powspominacie sobie nasz występ z archiwum naszych koncertów.

The Polish School from Essendon welcomes children from all over Melbourne every Saturday morning. They learn to speak, read, write and sing in Polish, as well as immerse themselves in the Polish culture, history and geography. The children love performing on stage and learn Polish songs quickly, even if they don’t speak fluent Polish.

Weekly singing classes are part of our curriculum. The two language classes are taught in 2 or 3 age groups, and are mostly spoken in Polish. There is also an optional religion class. The school was initiated by the Sisters of Resurrection a very long time ago, and we continue to work alongside their school and in their facilities, on the grounds of the Polish Marian Shrine.

Every year the children take part in various concerts to commemorate the 3rd of May Polish Constitution Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Nativity Play, and of course our Fed Square festival. The school has performed here every year, and we are all disappointed that the program we have prepared for you has to be postponed till next year, hopefully. In the meantime we hope you enjoy some memories as you watch one of our archival concerts.
